Becoming a real person

The last couple of months R has really started to become a real person, with a personality, preferences, ticklishness, and a sense of humor.

The 5th month saw the advent of sitting:

... followed quickly by toppling over and laughing.

The exersaucer (or "command center") was her new favorite toy:

and after one fish tail casualty we realized that we had to raise her mobile since she could now stand in her crib holding on to the railing...

By the beginning of the 6th month she was a pro at sitting...

Although standing quickly eclipsed that as her favorite activity:

She still likes sitting with us at the table:

But now we've begun introducing solid food...

But nothing's better than helping daddy drink his coffee:

She's now an expert roller:

Front to back, back to front, no sweat...

And bath time is only getting more fun!

Still loves sucking on her toes

Even though there are plenty of other toys around!

All in all, it's a pretty good life.

But sometimes life can throw you a curve ball that leaves you reeling. This post is dedicated to the memory of Arker, our teammate and friend, and R's first babysitter. You two were so great together.
